Former Student Testimonials….
“During my senior year of high school, it was hard to comprehend how many opportunities were outside of the tiny world I knew in San Antonio. Tiffany helped me to seek out those opportunities and find the resources to make sure I could feasibly pursue them and go to my dream University. Without her motivation and help, I would never be where I am now and I owe how much I believe in myself to her!.”
— Mireya Sotelo, Carnegie Mellon University
“Where do I even begin? Tiffany played a huge role in my life during college and afterward.
During my time as an undergraduate first-generation college student, Tiffany was there along the way to help guide me through ANY challenges. She was truly a blessing to have as a mentor. She is the BEST mentor, who assisted me with my career goals, encouraged me to do things that I thought were beyond my reach (for example, she pushed me to apply for a full-ride scholarship to study abroad in London, in competition with students all across America. Needless to said I ended up in the UK with the top 10 students who were selected. Her support for students like myself during this time frame was life-changing.
Fast forward to post-graduation 4 years later and in the midst of my career, Tiffany is my number one go-to person when I need advice. She continuously expands my understanding of every situation and perspective. Her willingness to help her students comes so naturally to her. I’m so grateful for her in my life and having someone like her who guides me through everything is truly is a blessing that I never take for granted.”
— Katherine Tran, The University of Texas at San Antonio
“As a first-generation college student from a low income community, I am truly blessed to be attending one of the most prestigious universities in the world. This would not have been possible without the help of my college counselor, Mrs. Cook. The college application process tends to be a long, emotionally taxing process for every high school senior. Mrs. Cook and her efforts made this process bearable and rewarding for me even before my senior year. Mrs. Cook informed me of elite summer programs that would strengthen my college applications, provided me with feedback on my essays, recommended me for opportunities, and helped me find life-changing scholarships that made college affordable. Most importantly, Mrs. Cook guided me through the college application process to the college of my dreams..”
— Garland Catlette, Harvard University
FAQs
*Although REACH College Advising LLC cannot guarantee admission to specific institutions, as your student’s personal coach, it will be my mission to provide passionate, personal, and professional services that support the student and give them a competitive advantage in the college application process.
What is the purpose of having a private College Advisor?
According to the National Association for College Admissions the student-to-counselor ratio is 481:1. However, the American School Counselor Association recommends that schools strive to maintain a 250:1 ratio. Although 250:1 is a “better” student-to-counselor ratio, it still poses as a challenge for students needing personalize counseling during their college prep journey. Investing in a private College Advisor can have long-term benefits and will ensure the student has the support needed to successfully apply to and matriculate to the college of their dreams,
Can you guarantee admission to my dream school?
While I wish there was a secret formula to getting into the college of your dreams there isn’t one. However, with the right coaching, information, and persistence, it is possible to get into colleges you desire. This takes time, dedication, and a lot of hard work! REACH College Advising LLC will not promise admissions to any college. We will work diligently to ensure you are a strong candidate and create a smart college list that optimizes your chances for admissions.
What if I cannot afford to pay for your services?
There are payment plan options available for families. Ultimately, hiring a private College Advisor is an investment in your future. The risk of not having the personalized support during your junior and senior year can be dangerous, specifically if you attend a high school with a 481:1 student-counselor-ratio. Payment plans are available.
Will REACH College Advising do the work for me?
The short answer is no. We will work together to support you and your goals. Hiring REACH is not for any student and family who will expect the work to be done for you.
